Mile Building Sailing Adventures.

You've passed your ASA/RYA practical course. Now you need to gain experience. Our mile building trips are designed to give you just this, and to enhance your confidence. You will also benefit from exploring new sailing areas and participating in longer passages. Often regular jobs and family affairs slow the process down. Sailing miles on the weekend often does not amount to much, and sailors can take many months/years to progress though the ASA/RYA Sailing program.  Our trips are designed to give you more experience, while sailing a larger yacht. The Cruises will be in the Cyclades Island group and is perfect for those guests who have passed there "Bareboat Skipper Certificate" or 'Day Skipper' and need to gain sea miles to progress to the next level. Its also ideal for ASA Yacht Captains and  RYA Yachtmasters needing to increase there log book miles.

Your Yacht

 You will sail on a 55ft performance Ketch.  She has 4 double cabins each with there own heads.  

She is fast and comes complete with lots of sails and state of the art electronics.

Specs:-  Overall Length : 16m   Draft 3m   Total Sail Area : 138 sqm   Engine : Perkins 110hp,  Generator, etc..

The Route : You will leave from Kalamaki Marina,  just outside Athens center. At the start  you will head down through the Cyclades, stopping at various islands on the way. You'll then head west to the  dramatic Peloponnese coast, from where you'll make your way back through the Saronic Gulf to Athens. You will arrive back at the marina by the morning of  following Saturday . You will cover 200 - 300 miles, included in the trip will be at least two Yachtmaster qualifying passages of over 60nm. At least one of these will be a night sail involving watches. You will play a full part in sailing the yacht, including navigation, keeping watch, and taking a turn in the galley. You will have an ASA Instructor on hand to help you should you require advice.

Although aimed at the more experienced sailor, it is possible for beginners to come on the mile builder. This is only suitable for fit and adventurous beginners who do not suffer from seasickness. 

The Price

€1000 (£685) per head sharing a double cabin / €1250 (£855) for single occupancy.

• The Yacht with all her Sailing and Safety equipment, also inclusive:  Zodiac+ Out board, snorkel & fishing gear ,etc
